JUST HOW MANY CALORIES ARE THERE IN YOUR STARBUCKS BEVERAGE?

There is nothing like an ice-cold coffee or frappuccino on a boiling hot summer’s day to quench one’s thirst. With a Starbucks on just about every corner, it sounds too good to be true. Yet is downing regular amounts of Starbuck’s throughout the summer really such a great idea? No disrespect to Starbucks as it does some really great coffee but some of its beverages have a few more calories than we’d like to admit. According to the World Cancer Research Fund the combination of sugar, full fat milk and cream in some of these beverages have the equivalent of ¼ of a woman’s daily calorie requirements. Want to know what the worst beverages are in terms of calories; it is Starbucks’s large dark berry mocha frappuccino and the large white mocha frappuccino, without whip. To burn off the whopping 450 calories in these drinks, one would have to walk for a staggering 1 hour 20 minutes. Now that’s a whole lot of walking for one drink. Looking for a more calorie friendly drink, the Starbuck's Tall Iced Coffee contains just three calories – now that sounds a lot better for the waistline and the cholesterol levels. That aside, regular consumption of the high fat, high sugar frappuccinos can increase the risk of cancer – so goodbye large frappuccinos and hello small low fat iced-coffees.
